Pets
Owning pets entails a series of legal responsibilities to ensure their well-being and safety.
It is mandatory to register petsin the Andalusian Central Registry of Pets, identify them with a microchip, and keep their health records up to date.
Owners must ensure they provide adequate care, comply with current regulations on coexistence and respect in public spaces, and guarantee their well-being, avoiding any situations of abandonment or abuse. Furthermore, in the case of dogs, it is mandatory to comply with the regulations on restraint and control in public spaces, especially in parks and common areas.
Furthermore, the ownership of potentially dangerous animals (PPP) is regulated by specific regulations that impose additional requirements. Owners must obtain an administrative license. These animals must always be identified and registered, and comply with safety measures such as the use of a mussel and leash in public spaces.
For more information on requirements and procedures, it is recommended to contact the Granada City Council or consult the current regional regulations.
