Climate
Climate in Granada is Mediterranean, so it experiments cold winters (with temperatures between 5ªC and 10ºC during the daytime and nights often falling below 0ºC) and hot summers (temperatures can you up to 35ºC on the hottest days although the nights are colder due to the location of the city close to Sierra Nevada). Spring and autumn are pleasant with moderate temperatures.

Granada has a variety of important festivities throughout the year, such as Holy Week, celebrated with very solemn religious processions, the “Dia de la Cruz”, on May 3, where people prepare crosses and carnations, and go out to enjoy, and the Corpus Christi fair, held in May or June, with music, dance and popular celebrations.
