In Granada, enrollment processes for the next academic year are governed by an annual calendar. Depending on the educational level enrolled, whether Preschool, Primary, Secondary, or High School, the specific procedures and deadlines may vary slightly.
Schooling in Andalucia in the First Cycle of Preschool (0 to 3 years old)
The admission process for the First Cycle of Preschool education in preschools run by the Andalusian Regional Government, as well as in schools and early childhood education centers participating in the Family support Program, is open for the 2025/26 academic year and is divided into two phases:
- Reserved school places (from March 17 to 28, 2025, inclusive):: for children already enrolled in schools run by the Andalusian Regional Government or participating in the family Support Program, who wish to continue at the same school during the 2025/26 academic year.
- Ordinary admission (from April 1 to 30, 2025, inclusive):: for children between 16 weeks and 3 years old who are entering school for the first time.
Schooling in Andalucia from the 2nd cycle of Preschool to Baccalaureate (ages 3 to 17)
The application period for admission to Andalusia for the 2025/26 school year will be open from March 1 to 31, 2025.
This enrollment process applies to the second cycle of preschool (ages 3 to 5), Primary Education (ages 6 to 12), Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO, ages 12 to 16), Baccalaureate (ages 16 to 18), and Special Education (the age range for this education varies according to the needs of the students, but generally ranges from 3 to 21).
Children entering the education system for the first time as well as those who need to change schools, whether public or state-assisted, are eligible to participate.
Vocational Training in Andalucia
Information on admission to Basic Vocational Training Cycles, Basic Vocational Training for specific groups, Intermediate Vocational Training, Advanced Vocational Training, and Specialization Courses is updated every academic year.
These courses can be taken in different ways according to the student’s needs: in-person, blended, virtual, and modular in-person, allowing for greater flexibility in training.
